Jérémie 30.10

Toi donc, mon serviteur Jacob, ne crains point, dit l'Éternel ; ne t'épouvante pas, Israël ! car voici, je te délivrerai de la terre lointaine, et ta postérité du pays de leur captivité. Alors Jacob reviendra, et il sera tranquille et à l'aise, et il n'y aura personne qui le trouble.

On remarque une analogie assez frappante entre le style de ce morceau et celui de la dernière partie d'Esaïe (chapitres 40 à 66) ; ainsi l'expression : serviteur de l'Eternel, appliquée au peuple d'Israël.

De même qu'Esaïe, Jérémie se transporte dans l'avenir et part de là comme s'il s'agissait d'un état présent.
