La bible annotée Commentaire de Matthew Henry 10 et 11 Ces deux versets commencent dans le texte hébreu un nouveau chapitre. Nous pensons plutôt qu'ils forment avec le premier verset du chapitre 2 la conclusion du récit du chapitre 1.On est frappé de la transition si brusque de la menace à la promesse ; ce trait se retrouvera souvent dans le prophète Osée ; son cœur plein d'amour semble pressé de relever ceux qu'il vient de traiter si sévèrement, lors même qu'il n'en a pas encore fini avec les reproches à leur adresse (comparez 2.14-23).Le nombre des fils d'Israël... Le prophète annonce dans l'avenir non seulement un rétablissement, mais un accroissement incommensurable du peuple ; ce sera l'accomplissement de la promesse Genèse 22.17.Et là où on leur disait... Le prophète veut parler de toutes, les contrées de la terre où Israël aura été dispersé. On ne le reconnaissait plus, dans cet état de déchéance, pour le peuple de Dieu. Mais le jour viendra où on le reconnaîtra de nouveau pour son peuple et même pour sa famille : fils du.Dieu vivant... Une telle reconnaissance suppose nécessairement chez les païens de la part desquels elle a lieu, la reconnaissance du Dieu vivant. Comme les Juifs étaient devenus en quelque sorte païens avec eux, eux sont à leur tour graciés avec les Juifs ; et c'est pourquoi dans le Nouveau Testament cette parole leur est expressément appliquée (Romains 9.25-26 ; 1Pierre 2.10). Le prophète annonce dans l'avenir non seulement un rétablissement, mais un accroissement incommensurable du peuple ; ce sera l'accomplissement de la promesse Genèse 22.17.Et là où on leur disait...
