2 et 3 Les juges iniques.

Est-ce en restant muets...? Les juges dont il s'agit laissent passer sans rien dire de grandes iniquités. Ainsi compris, le texte offre une contradiction voulue : Vous êtes donc juges pour ne pas juger hébreu : Est-ce un mutisme de justice que vous dites, une sentence muette que vous rendez ? Au moyen d'une légère correction, on obtient le sens suivant : Est-ce vraiment la justice que vous rendez, ô dieux ? Ce titre de dieux serait appliqué aux juges, parce que leurs sentences doivent être en réalité celles de Dieu. Comparez Psaumes 82.6. Il y aurait à la fois dans ce nom ironie et sanglant reproche. Cependant une modification du texte primitif ne nous semble pas s'imposer.
