Psaumes 91.13

Le lion..., l'aspic : images de la force et de la ruse mises en œuvre contre les fidèles, soit dans leurs combats tout spirituels, soit dans les persécutions ou les dangers de tous genres auxquels les expose le travail qu'ils accomplissent au service de Dieu (Romains 16.20 ; 1Pierre 5.8 ; Marc 16.18). Indépendamment de ce sens général, cette promesse s'est accomplie à la lettre pour plus d'un serviteur de Dieu (Daniel 6.22 ; Actes 28.5).
