D'après 2Samuel 6.1, David ne convoqua que 30000 hommes ; mais ces 30000 hommes d'élite correspondent probablement aux chefs de milliers et de centaines de notre verset 1, à côté desquels notre auteur mentionne encore toute l'assemblée d'Israël (verset 2).
