Whoever doesn't receive you, nor hear your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake off the dust from your feet.

Whoever will not receive you nor hear you, as you depart from there, shake off the dust that is under your feet for a testimony against them. Assuredly, I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!"

persecutions, and sufferings: those things that happened to me at Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. I endured those persecutions. Out of them all the Lord delivered me.
Au lieu de poursuivre leur course vers le nord, les deux évangélistes se dirigèrent vers le sud est, entreront dans la province de Lycaonie et s'arrêtèrent à Iconium, capitale de cette province où nous les retrouverons au chapitre suivant.
Cette ville d'Iconium subsiste encore aujourd'hui sous le nom de Konieh.
