Ananias était maître de garder son champ, et l'ayant vendu, il avait pleine liberté d'en conserver le prix entier. Cette parole prouve clairement que la communauté des biens dans l'Eglise de Jérusalem n'était imposée à personne (Comp Actes 2.45, note.)

Grec : Que s'est il passé pour que tu aies mis dans ton cœur cette affaire là ?

A Dieu, à qui Ananias professait avoir fait le sacrifice de son bien et à qui il le refuse ; à Dieu, dont l'Esprit de sainteté agissait dans l'Eglise. (verset 3 ; comparez 1Thessaloniciens 4.8)
