Comment l'ont-ils vaincu ? par le sang de l'Agneau. Ce sang, qui "purifie de tout péché," (1Jean 1.7) les a réconciliés avec Dieu, et, d'esclaves de Satan, a fait d'eux des enfants de Dieu. (Apocalypse 1.6 ; 5.9 ; 7.14)

Ils ont fidèlement professé leur foi en Celui qui les a sauvés ; ainsi la parole de leur témoignage (Apocalypse 6.9) a été, avec le sang de l'Agneau, la cause de leur victoire. Ce témoignage, ils l'ont rendu en exposant leur vie.

Grec : Ils n'ont point aimé leur vie jusqu'à la mort ; ils n'ont point préféré la vie à la mort, quand il s'agissait de la sacrifier pour le nom du Sauveur. Ils ont pratiqué les préceptes de Jésus. (Matthieu 10.28,39 ; 16.25 ; Jean 12.25)
