Daniel 6.16

Alors le roi commanda qu'on amenât Daniel, et qu'on le jetât dans la fosse aux lions. Le roi prit la parole, et dit à Daniel : Puisse ton Dieu, que tu sers sans cesse, te délivrer lui-même !

      17 If it be [so], our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace; and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.

      Daniel 6

      7 All the presidents of the kingdom, the deputies and the satraps, the counselors and the governors, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a strong decree, that whoever shall ask a petition of any god or man for thirty days, except of you, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.
      16 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. [Now] the king spoke and said to Daniel, Your God whom you serve continually, he will deliver you.
      20 When he came near to the den to Daniel, he cried with a lamentable voice; the king spoke and said to Daniel, Daniel, servant of the living God, is your God, whom you serve continually, able to deliver you from the lions?

      8 She, being prompted by her mother, said, "Give me here on a platter the head of John the Baptizer."
      9 The king was grieved, but for the sake of his oaths, and of those who sat at the table with him, he commanded it to be given,

      27 Immediately the king sent out a soldier of his guard, and commanded to bring John's head, and he went and beheaded him in the prison,
      28 and brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the young lady; and the young lady gave it to her mother.

      27 But when two years were fulfilled, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus, and desiring to gain favor with the Jews, Felix left Paul in bonds.

      Actes 25

      9 But Festus, desiring to gain favor with the Jews, answered Paul and said, "Are you willing to go up to Jerusalem, and be judged by me there concerning these things?"
      11 For if I have done wrong, and have committed anything worthy of death, I don't refuse to die; but if none of those things is true that they accuse me of, no one can give me up to them. I appeal to Caesar!"

      Actes 27

      23 For there stood by me this night an angel, belonging to the God whose I am and whom I serve,
      24 saying, 'Don't be afraid, Paul. You must stand before Caesar. Behold, God has granted you all those who sail with you.'
