Daniel 6.18

Le meilleur moyen de passer une bonne nuit, est d'avoir la conscience en paix. Nous pouvons être certains que le roi doutait que Daniel, ce serviteur du Dieu vivant, avait un Maître capable de le protéger. Observez la puissance divine face à ces créatures des plus féroces, et constatez à quel point cette puissance est capable d'empêcher les lions de hurler, cherchant continuellement à dévorer. Daniel était parfaitement confiant, parce qu'il a cru en son Dieu.

Ceux qui placent avec joie leur confiance en Dieu, pour être protégés dans l'exercice de leur devoir, trouveront toujours une aide efficace. Ainsi le « juste » est délivré de l'épreuve, et le méchant continue son triste chemin. Le triomphe éphémère du méchant se termine par sa ruine.

      8 but let them be covered with sackcloth, both man and animal, and let them cry mightily to God. Yes, let them turn everyone from his evil way, and from the violence that is in his hands.
      9 Who knows whether God will not turn and relent, and turn away from his fierce anger, so that we might not perish?"

      Apocalypse 18

      22 The voice of harpists, minstrels, flute players, and trumpeters will be heard no more at all in you. No craftsman, of whatever craft, will be found any more at all in you. The sound of a mill will be heard no more at all in you.
