Vous étendez vos mains. La coutume juive n'était pas de joindre les mains, mais de les élever vers le ciel pour la prière (Exode 17.11 ; comparez 1Timothée 2.8).

Pleines de sang : des mains qui ont servi d'instruments de meurtre ; on osait venir au temple après avoir tué. Les mœurs de ce temps étaient d'une violence dont nous nous faisons avec peine une idée (Proverbes 1.10-16).
