Esaïe 42.16

I will bring the blind by a way that they don't know. I will lead them in paths that they don't know. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. I will do these things, and I will not forsake them.
Je vais conduire les aveugles sur une route inconnue, je vais les faire marcher sur des chemins qu’ils ne connaissent pas. Devant eux, je vais changer la nuit en lumière, je vais enlever les obstacles sous leurs pieds. Voilà ce que je veux faire, je n’abandonnerai pas ce projet.

Les aveugles : Israël coupable et privé de la grâce de Dieu ; il sera sauvé par des voies merveilleuses, dont Dieu seul a le secret ; sa misère sera changée en bénédiction (les ténèbres changées en lumière) ; tout ce qui fait obstacle à cette œuvre disparaîtra (les lieux montueux changés en plaine ; comparez 40.4).
