J’enverrai les combattants les plus violents de tous les peuples tuer tous tes habitants. Ils détruiront l’Égypte orgueilleuse, et tout son peuple disparaîtra.

      2 For you have made a city into a heap, a fortified city into a ruin, a palace of strangers to be no city. It will never be built.
      3 Therefore a strong people will glorify you. A city of awesome nations will fear you.

      Ezéchiel 28

      7 therefore, behold, I will bring strangers on you, the terrible of the nations; and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom, and they shall defile your brightness.

      19 Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and he shall carry off her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army.

      11 He and his people with him, the terrible of the nations, shall be brought in to destroy the land; and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with the slain.

      Ezéchiel 31

      11 I will even deliver him into the hand of the mighty one of the nations; he shall surely deal with him; I have driven him out for his wickedness.

      Ezéchiel 32

      12 By the swords of the mighty will I cause your multitude to fall; the terrible of the nations are they all: and they shall bring to nothing the pride of Egypt, and all its multitude shall be destroyed.

      Habacuc 1

      6 For, behold, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, that march through the breadth of the earth, to possess dwelling places that are not theirs.
      7 They are feared and dreaded. Their judgment and their dignity proceed from themselves.
