Pour couronner les bénédictions accordées par Dieu, ce texte annonce la promesse de l’avènement du Messie. Christ communique la Droiture à Son église, Il « est » d’ailleurs cette Droiture, conformément à la volonté divine ; par Lui, les croyants sont justifiés devant Dieu.

Christ est notre Seigneur, notre Dieu, notre Rocher, notre Sanctification, et l’Auteur de notre Rachat. Son royaume est éternel.

Les prospérités et les adversités se succèdent inlassablement en ce monde, tels les jours et les nuits, la lumière et l’obscurité.

Ce texte fait état d’une autre promesse au sujet des sacrificateurs et de leur ministère. Tous les véritables croyants ont un saint ministère, un « sacerdoce royal », ils offrent à Dieu des sacrifices spirituels, acceptés par ce Dernier ; ils se consacrent au Seigneur, tels des « sacrifices vivants ».

Les promesses mentionnées dans ce texte verront leur plein accomplissement lors du rétablissement complet d’Israël. Dans Galates 6:16, tous ceux qui marchent selon les règles prescrites par l'évangile, sont préparés pour devenir « l’Israël de Dieu », ils connaîtront la paix et la miséricorde divines.

Ne méprisons pas ceux qui de tout temps, ont été choisis par Dieu, même s’ils semblent parfois être rejetés ou inactifs !
