La vie et la paix. C'étaient là les biens que la relation particulière formée entre l'Eternel et la tribu de Lévi garantissait à celle-ci.

Pour qu'il eût de la crainte. On traduit aussi : Je lui donnai la vie et la paix, ou : Et je les lui donnai (la vie et la paix), ainsi que la crainte, et il me craignit. Mais le texte est plus favorable à la traduction adoptée.
