Le vin qui réjouit. Comparez Juges 9.13 ; Ecclésiaste 10.19.

L'huile, qui, dans les pays orientaux, est d'un emploi très fréquent dans les aliments, aussi bien que comme parfum (Marc 14.3 : huile odoriférante) et comme onction, pour rafraîchir le corps fatigué, est souvent, le symbole de la joie (Psaumes 23.5 ; 45.8).
