World English Bible I am very angry with the nations that are at ease; for I was but a little displeased, but they added to the calamity."

Aidé au mal. Les nations, dont Dieu se servait comme d'une verge pour châtier Israël, ont outrepassé la limite fixée et frappé avec une excessive dureté. La violente indignation (violemment irrité) que l'Eternel éprouve contre les ennemis de son peuple pour cette conduite, dépasse de beaucoup la colère qu'il avait éprouvée contre son peuple lui-même (peu irrité). C'est pourquoi leur bien-être actuel fera place aux plus sévères châtiments.

      11 Thus says Yahweh: "For three transgressions of Edom, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment; because he pursued his brother with the sword, and cast off all pity, and his anger raged continually, and he kept his wrath forever;
