Conclusion à laquelle nul ne pouvait rien répliquer.

L'apôtre, en effet, se serait opposé à Dieu s'il avait refusé d'admettre dans l'Eglise des hommes qui avaient reçu le Saint-Esprit.

- On a proposé de traduire : Dieu leur a fait le même don qu'à nous, à eux qui ont cru, c'est à dire : "pour avoir cru." Mais la construction que nous avons suivie est plus conforme à l'ordre des mots en grec. Elle présente d'ailleurs un sens très approprié.

"Pierre veut dire : le don du Saint-Esprit nous a été accordé, non parce que nous étions de la circoncision, mais parce que nous avons cru" Bengel.
