2 et 3 Ces versets renferment deux recommandations parallÚles et qui font contraste. Elles s'adressent à la fois au juge et au témoin. Ils doivent tous deux, l'un dans sa sentence, l'autre dans ses témoignages, résister à l'entraßnement que pourraient exercer sur eux les passions de la foule. Au verset 2, la seconde proposition sert à préciser la premiÚre, dont la forme est plus générale.
