C'est pourquoi je vous jugerai, chacun selon ses voies, maison d'Israël, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel. Revenez, et détournez-vous de toutes vos transgressions, et l'iniquité ne vous sera pas une pierre d'achoppement.

30 à 32 C'est ici l'application des principes qui viennent d'être posés : une énergique invitation à revenir à Dieu.

Cette invitation est fondée avant tout sur la certitude du jugement divin :Je vous jugerai.

C'est pourquoi : parce que vos voies ne sont pas droites(verset 29).

Chacun : ce, mot fait ressortir encore l'idée de la responsabilité, individuelle qui a fait le fond de tout cet enseignement.

Détournez-vous... et... Cette promesse est l'application des cas décrits versets 14 à 17 et versets 21 à 23.

L’Éternel jugera chacun des Israélites selon leur conduite. Ces versets étaient pour ce peuple une exhortation à se repentir, de façon à obtenir un nouveau cœur et un esprit nouveau.

Dieu n’ordonne pas ce qui ne peut pas être fait ; Il nous reproche cependant de ne pas faire ce qui est nous est possible d’accomplir, et nous demande de prier pour ce que qui n’est pas encore accompli. Des directives divines et les moyens de les accomplir sont ici décrits ; les directions spirituelles à prendre et les promesses sont données, afin que ceux qui désirent opérer ce changement puissent le rechercher directement près de Dieu !
