26 et 27 Le sang.

Il n'est pas question du sang des poissons, probablement parce qu'il est, en trop petite quantité. L'interdiction du sang est absolue : dans tous les lieux où vous habiterez. Le motif n'en est point hygiénique, mais religieux : L'âme de la chair est dans le sang. (Genèse 9.4) et c'est par l'âme que le sang fait expiation ; voir 17.11
