Efforcez-vous d’entrer par la porte étroite. Car, je vous le dis, beaucoup chercheront à entrer et n’en seront pas capables.

      Genèse 32

      25 When he saw that he didn't prevail against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh, and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was strained, as he wrestled.

      Proverbes 1

      24 Because I have called, and you have refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no one has paid attention;
      25 but you have ignored all my counsel, and wanted none of my reproof;
      26 I also will laugh at your disaster. I will mock when calamity overtakes you;
      27 when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when your disaster comes on like a whirlwind; when distress and anguish come on you.
      28 Then will they call on me, but I will not answer. They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me;

      Esaïe 58

      2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways: as a nation that did righteousness, and didn't forsake the ordinance of their God, they ask of me righteous judgments; they delight to draw near to God.
      3 'Why have we fasted,' say they, 'and you don't see? Why have we afflicted our soul, and you take no knowledge?' "Behold, in the day of your fast you find pleasure, and exact all your labors.
      4 Behold, you fast for strife and contention, and to strike with the fist of wickedness: you don't fast this day so as to make your voice to be heard on high.

      Ezéchiel 33

      31 They come to you as the people come, and they sit before you as my people, and they hear your words, but don't do them; for with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goes after their gain.

      Matthieu 7

      13 "Enter in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it.
      14 How narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! Few are those who find it.

      20 for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and kept him safe. When he heard him, he did many things, and he heard him gladly.

      31 but Israel, following after a law of righteousness, didn't arrive at the law of righteousness.
      32 Why? Because they didn't seek it by faith, but as it were by works of the law. They stumbled over the stumbling stone;

      1 Corinthiens 9

      24 Don't you know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run like that, that you may win.
      25 Every man who strives in the games exercises self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible.
      26 I therefore run like that, as not uncertainly. I fight like that, as not beating the air,
      27 but I beat my body and bring it into submission, lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected.
