Matthieu 24.35, note.

Dans les trois premiers évangiles, le discours prophétique du Sauveur se termine par cette grande parole qui y met le sceau d'une autorité divine. Ce qui suit n'en est plus que l'application.

- Ces mots : Le ciel et la terre passeront ne sont point une supposition destinée à faire ressortir la perpétuité des paroles de Jésus ; ils annoncent une réalité, qui est en pleine harmonie avec la seconde partie de ce discours et avec tous les enseignements de l'Ecriture. (Apocalypse 21.1 ; 2Pierre 3.13)
