- Ce verset, en portant la pensée sur le jugement éternel, est une solennelle sanction de la sentence absolue qui précède, et qui deviendra manifeste lors de l'apparition de Jésus-Christ.

- Il viendra dans la gloire de son Père, revêtu, lui, l'homme-Dieu, de la splendeur des perfections divines, qui sont la gloire de Dieu !

- Les anges sont les exécuteurs de la volonté divine. (Matthieu 13.41,49 ; 25.31)
