Comparez 27.6 et 29.5. On traduit quelquefois : Celui qui reprend l'homme qui recule, trouvera faveur... Le sens est le même : Celui qui oublie l'idéal moral qu'il avait d'abord poursuivi, ne peut être préservé d'une chute irrémédiable que par une réprimande énergique. Lui montrer de la complaisance serait le précipiter dans l'abîme.

      7 Nathan said to David, "You are the man. This is what Yahweh, the God of Israel, says: 'I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul.

      38 So Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites and the Pelethites, went down, and caused Solomon to ride on king David's mule, and brought him to Gihon.
      39 Zadok the priest took the horn of oil out of the Tent, and anointed Solomon. They blew the trumpet; and all the people said, "Long live king Solomon!"
      40 All the people came up after him, and the people piped with pipes, and rejoiced with great joy, so that the earth shook with their sound.
