Comme un filet. La pluie de feu qui tombe sur le monde coupable, comme autrefois sur Sodome, se transforme en un filet aux mailles serrées, qui retient captives ses victimes, sans que personne puisse échapper. Le Seigneur a peut-être fait allusion à cette parole lorsqu'il a dit : Ce jour viendra comme un filet sur tous ceux qui habitent sur la face de la terre (Luc 21.35).
