Comme Paul et Barnabas sortaient de la synagogue, leurs auditeurs ou plus probablement les chefs de la synagogue, (verset 15) les priaient (grec) que ces choses (ou paroles) leur fussent dites le sabbat suivant.

Ce fait montre quelle impression profonde le discours de Paul avait produite.

Mais en outre, beaucoup de Juifs et de prosélytes suivirent les évangélistes dans leur demeure.

Ceux-ci saisirent avec empressement cette occasion de les exhorter à persévérer dans la grâce de Dieu.

C'est dans ce dernier terme, si riche et si beau, que Luc résume tout l'Evangile ; et, en effet, il le renferme tout entier.

- Le texte reçu, aux mots : après qu'ils furent sortis, ajoute : de la synagogue des Juifs, addition qui manque dans presque tous les majuscules

Puis ce même texte dit (verset 42) que ce furent les païens qui demandèrent à Paul de leur annoncer encore la Parole. C'est là une correction destinée à mettre verset 42 en harmonie avec versets 45,48.

A la place du verbe ils priaient, B porte un verbe qui marque moins d'empressement dans leur requête, et peut se traduire : ils demandaient.

Enfin, à verset 43, le texte occidental (Blass, d'après Peschito) porte : suivirent Paul et Barnabas, demandant à être baptisés.
