Segond 21 Je changerai vos fêtes en deuil et tous vos chants en lamentations, je couvrirai de sacs toutes les tailles et je raserai toutes les têtes. Je mettrai le pays dans le deuil comme pour un fils unique, et sa fin sera comme un jour d'amertume.

Ceux qui n'auront pas été engloutis seront tous dans le deuil, comme à la mort d'un fils unique.

Comme un jour amer. Celui qui a perdu son enfant unique se consume dans une amertume incessante ; le reste de sa vie n'est tout entier que comme un jour lugubre semblable à celui de l'enterrement de son bien-aimé. Il en sera ainsi du peuple à la suite de cette catastrophe.
