La gloire de Dieu, qui ne se montrait sous l'ancienne Alliance que couverte d'une nuée, qui était apparue à Jean dans la Parole faite chair, (Jean 1.14) resplendit maintenant aux regards de tous les fidèles, sans que plus rien ne voile son éclat, apportant à la création entière cette révélation qu'elle attendait avec ardeur et anxiété. (Romains 8.18)

Cette gloire de Dieu, ce sont ses perfections contemplées "à visage découvert" (2Corinthiens 3.18) par ceux qui ont 1'ineffable bonheur de voir Dieu face à face. (Apocalypse 22.4 ; 1Corinthiens 13.12)
