World English Bible The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the ox; and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain," says Yahweh.

La paix universelle, la destruction du mal. Reproduction abrégée de 11.6-9 (voir à ce passage). Le seul trait nouveau est ici : le serpent se nourrira de la possière. L'idée est qu'il ne fera plus de mal à l'homme et se contentera de la part qui lui a été assignée (Genèse 3.14).

Les derniers mots du verset sont appliqués à l'humanité dans le passage 11.9 (comparez 2.4). Nous ne voyons pas pourquoi il faudrait les entendre autrement ici et les rapporter aux animaux, puisque tout le passage n'est qu'un extrait du chapitre 11 et que le verset 24 se rapportait à l'état moral de l'humanité.
