Le mot ton oncle s'applique à Sallum, non à Hanaméel (verset 8).

Droit de retrait. Lorsqu'un IsraĂ©lite Ă©tait obligĂ© d'aliĂ©ner une portion de son hĂ©ritage, son plus proche parent avait le droit, mĂȘme le devoir de la racheter (LĂ©vitique 25.25). Il pouvait cependant se soustraire Ă  cette obligation selon les circonstances, mais en accomplissant certaines formalitĂ©s (Ruth 4.7 ; DeutĂ©ronome 25.7-9). Le but de ces dispositions Ă©tait de maintenir intact le lot assignĂ© primitivement dans la terre de Canaan Ă  chaque famille israĂ©lite.
