Pour humilier Job, Dieu lui rappelle son ignorance, même en ce qui concerne les éléments de la terre et de la mer. Il nous est impossible de trouver des failles dans les œuvres divines et nous ne devons éprouver aucune crainte devant ces œuvres. Les ouvrages de la Providence et de la Création ne seront jamais détruits ; il en va de même pour la Rédemption, Christ, Lui-même, en est à la fois le Fondement et la Pierre angulaire. L'église possède également, des bases aussi solides que la terre.
