Et lui parla : lui parla relativement à ce qui allait se passer.

Ils prophétisèrent. Cela ne veut pas dire qu'ils annoncèrent l'avenir, mais qu'ils se mirent à parler sous l'impulsion de l'Esprit, peut-être dans un état extatique et avec ces mouvements étranges qui accompagnaient parfois l'inspiration (1Samuel 10.10-13 ; 19.20 et suivants).

Ils ne continuèrent pas : sans que pour cela l'Esprit se fût retiré d'eux, mais son action prit un caractère plus calme.
