Les mots ange et Dieu auront été intervertis et il faut lire : L'ange de Dieu étendit sa main. Cela coïncide avec ce qui est dit dans 2 Samuel.Ornan, appelé Arauna dans 2 Samuel ; deux noms qui en hébreu se ressemblent davantage que dans la traduction.
