Lydie fut baptisée avec sa famille, sans recevoir une instruction prolongée, simplement sur la confession de sa foi en Jésus-Christ son Sauveur. C'est ce que nous voyons partout dans le livre des Actes.

- Il est inutile de se demander si dans sa famille, et dans celle du geôlier, (verset 33) il y avait de petits enfants, et s'ils furent aussi baptisés, le texte ne le dit pas.
