David a dominé sur des peuples nombreux (2Samuel 8.11-14 ; il a pu dire : Tu m'as établi chef des nations ; le peuple que je ne connaissais pas m'a été soumis (voir Psaumes 18.44-48). Israël converti jouira des mêmes priviléges (verset 5) ; le peuple entier, même le plus faible, sera comme David (Zacharie 12.8). Ce sera son honneur de faire (pacifiquement) la conquête du monde pour Jéhova (2.2-3 ; 54.3).
