De broderie. Est-ce une allusion aux tentures brodées du tabernacle ?
De peau de blaireau, ou de veau marin. Le sens du mot hébreu (thachasch) est incertain. La couverture supérieure du tabernacle était faite de la peau de cet animal (Exode 26.14 ; Nombres 4.25) ; c'est probablement à ce fait que le prophète fait allusion.
De lin. Le verbe employé ici pour dire ceindre, s'applique ordinairement à la ceinture de tête, au turban : Exode 24.17 ; Exode 29.9 ; Lévitique 8.13. C'est sans doute une allusion à la mitre des sacrificateurs.
Des tissus les plus fins. Le mot hébreu (méschi) ne se retrouve nulle part ailleurs. A l'exemple des rabbins on le traduit ordinairement par soie. Mais ce sens n'étant qu'une supposition, nous avons rendu ce mot par une expression moins précise.
