Les montagnes. C'est là que les fugitifs trouvent les retraites les plus inaccessibles.

Tôt ou tard, le péché finira par causer de la tristesse ; ceux qui ne se repentiront pas de leur iniquité, seront, en toute justice, abandonnés à leur triste sort.

La convoitise des richesses est, pour beaucoup de personnes, un piège, qui ne les mène qu’à la ruine ; en fait, les gains de ce monde sont à l’origine de la perte de leur âme. Une grande abondance de biens n’est d’aucune utilité au jour de la colère divine. La fortune ici-bas n’offre rien qui puisse répondre aux désirs de l'âme, ou qui puisse donner de la satisfaction, au jour de la détresse.

Le temple de Dieu n’a pas de place pour accueillir les riches. Ceux qui ne sont pas soumis à la Puissance divine sont indignes d'être honorés pour leur éventuelle forme de dévotion.
