Malgré ce débordement de force et cette affluence d'alliés, l'armée égyptienne, s'avance au-devant d'une catastrophe certaine, car Dieu va se venger. Comparez Esaïe 34.5-8.

Ses ennemis... L'Egypte a été de tout temps l'ennemie particulière de Dieu et de son peuple.
