30 à 33 La dîme.

La dîme est pratiquée dans tout l'Orient de toute antiquité, en sorte qu'elle peut être mentionnée ici comme une chose connue, bien qu'il n'en ait pas encore été fait mention dans la loi ; mais deux fois nous en avons eu des exemples dans la Genèse (Genèse 14.20 ; 28.22). Elle diffère des vœux en ce qu'elle n'est pas facultative ; mais elle est ajoutée ici en raison des conditions de rachat et d'échange qui sont analogues à celles qui viennent d'être fixées pour les vœux.
