Il répandit le sang. Il semble, d'après 4.5-7, que le sang aurait dû être porté dans le sanctuaire pour servir à oindre les cornes de l'autel d'or et être répandu au pied de cet autel, près du Lieu très saint ; car il ne s'agit pas du péché d'un simple particulier. Mais nous voyons (verset 22) que ce n'est que plus tard, après la fin de la cérémonie, que Moïse introduisit pour la première fois Aaron dans le sanctuaire. C'est la raison qui empêcha Aaron d'offrir cette fois le sang devant l'autel d'or.
