Luc ne dit pas quelle fut la durée de ce séjour de l'apôtre à Antioche. Il est probable que ce fut alors qu'eut lieu le conflit entre Paul et l'apôtre Pierre. (Galates 2.11 et suivants)
Bientôt après, il partit pour son troisième voyage de mission dans les provinces de l'Asie Mineure.
Ce voyage n'est que brièvement indiqué par Luc, comme l'avait été le second, (Actes 16.6) surtout en ce qui concerne la Galatie et la Phrygie.
Il paraît que les sources où puisait notre historien ne le renseignaient pas sur ces parties de l'activité missionnaire de l'apôtre. Il se contente d'en signaler le but fort important : fortifier tous les disciples.
