Un homme intelligent. Son nom n'est pas indiqué. D'autres pensent que ces mots, en hébreu Isch Sékel, étaient son nom ; en tout cas le nom des autres chefs de famille qui répondirent à cet appel est indiqué : Sérébia, Hasabia, etc.

Machli : petit-fils de Lévi par Mérari (Exode 6.16-19).

Fils d'Israël, c'est-à-dire de Jacob.

Sérébia reparaît verset 24 et Néhémie 8.7, etc., parmi les Lévites les plus fidèles et les plus zélés.
