Ces termes : devant les anges de Dieu, correspondent à dans le ciel (verset 7) et expriment plus clairement qui éprouve cette joie. Ils peuvent indiquer, soit la joie que les anges eux-mêmes éprouvent du salut d'une âme, soit la joie de Dieu, qui se manifeste devant eux, en leur présence. Le premier sens est probablement dans la pensée de Jésus
