Marc fait non seulement observer, avec Matthieu, que Jésus prit ses trois disciples à l'écart, mais il ajoute : seuls.

Evidemment, il attache de l'importance au témoignage exclusif de ces trois apôtres, les seuls qui eussent assisté à cette scène unique dans la vie du Sauveur. (Comparer Matthieu 26.37)
