World English Bible So shall they fear the name of Yahweh from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come as a rushing stream, which the breath of Yahweh drives.

L'Eternel, paraissant pour juger, est comparé à un fleuve resserré dont le souffle de Jéhova (l'ouragan) précipite le cours. Il faut se représenter un fleuve qui, grossi par l'orage et poussé par un vent furieux, se fraie un passage par-dessus les rives étroites qui l'enserrent. Voyez une image pareille Ezéchiel 43.2 et l'apparition de Dieu décrite comme un orage Esaïe 30.27 et suivants.

Ce jugement le fera craindre de toute la terre : 45.6 ; 42.10-12.
