Comme limite... A cause de cette limite du Jourdain qui va nous séparer, nous avons érigé ce monument, non de schisme et d'infidélité mais de communion et de solidarité éternelles.

Cette parole n'a de sens que si le monument était sur la rive occidentale, comme signe de l'appartenance des tribus qui l'avaient élevé, à l'ensemble du peuple.
