Je suis l'Eternel. Cette formule imposante par laquelle se désigne ici trois fois le législateur, s'est déjà rencontrée Exode 6.2,6 ; 20.1 ; Lévitique 11.44. Elle renferme à la fois une garantie d'infaillibilité pour les lois qui suivent et d'accomplissement pour les promesses et les menaces qui les accompagnent.
