22 à 29 Le sacrifice d'actions de grâces.

L'holocauste est toujours la transition du sacrifice pour le péché, au sacrifice d'actions de grâces. Ce dernier est, dans le cas actuel, l'expression du sentiment de reconnaissance d'Aaron et de ses fils envers l'Eternel, qui a accepté leur, sacrifices d'expiation et de consécration et qui les admet ainsi à la fonction sainte de s'approcher de lui au nom du peuple. Cependant le rite général prescrit pour cette espèce de sacrifice (chapitres 3 et 7 verset 28 et suivants) est légèrement modifié ici en raison du but particulier pour lequel le sacrifice est offert ; aussi porte-t-il un nom particulier, celui de millouim, installation. Voir pour l'explication de ce mot, qui signifie remplissement, à Exode 28.41. Comparez aussi verset 27 de notre chapitre et Exode 25.7 et Exode 35.9 (texte hébreu).

Le second bélier : voir verset 2. Le bélier est la victime prescrite pour les sacrifices d'actions de grâces offerts par tout le peuple (9.4,18), par un prince (Nombres 7.17), et même par un naziréen (6.14) ; mais jamais pour ceux qu'offrait un simple Israélite.
