Par tribus. Il contemple avec admiration l'ensemble de ce camp dressé, selon la belle ordonnance tracée au chapitre 2. Jusqu'alors il avait rendu les déclarations divines d'une manière plus ou moins servile. Maintenant sa personne tout entière est saisie ; il devient un véritable prophète. Après avoir décrit la beauté actuelle d'Israël, il annonce sa grandeur future.
